Thankyou for the comment, I have actually rang the helpline and was given 2 phone numbers to ring for support and counselling which I may use. We are taking 1 day at a time and communicating with each other which I think is the right thing for us both at this moment in time.
An update from this is that we are still together although this weekend he has said I should be mindful of my account! I transferred a small amount to his account a while ago and he has my details from that, he said he would never take money from me or his family member ( he has her details too). I don't know whether to ask for a new card although he doesn't have my security number on the back.

Seriously autumn if he's got them you need to change the card asap. They all swear blind they won't, but if they get in a jam they will. We only find out when it's too late. Just be safe.
Yes. Change the card. He will tell you what you want to hear and you will want to believe it but it leaves you open to lies, manipulation and worse. Are his daughter's accounts out of his reach? If not, they need to be.
