I'm uncomfortable asking this as i respect the right for everyone to be honest and get out of the chat room what they want. As one of the chatterers said, its part of their process but when discussions about active gambling and mentioning big amounts of money they won start to happen routinely and i feel like its starting to affect my recovery i need to leave.
Maybe the gamcare chat isn't for me and perhaps what i'll need to do is leave as soon as those members i know talking active gambling arrive. Leaves me in a bit of a pickle as i enjoy the chat mostly and the support but i'm here to stop my gambling and not be drawn back into it as i feel will happen to me if i keep listening.
Please offer me some guidance Gamcare admin. thanks tri
Anyone posting stuff like that on chat should get banned. No question. Or what's the f****n point
Thank you for your apology Samson.
Triangle, are you referring to bets which have been placed but are not yet concluded? Or the details of past bets?
Mostly past bets admin but what got me most was the possibility of future bets and this fed into making me feel uncomfortable.
thanks Samson for the share on my diary. appreciated. will see you soon.
Hi Triangle,
When talking about bets on the Forum and Chatroom, there is generally no hard written rule about this. Sometimes it can be part of the personal story, and as such it is understandable when it is mentioned. However we do understand that this can pose a potential trigger for others, so we ask that forum members be considerate of others on Chat and in the Forum. Mentioning any big wins during a chat session or in a forum post is not the best way to be considerate, as it tends to trigger people. Samson, your apology is recognized and appreciated, thank you. As users of the service you all have the right to voice your discontent both in the Chatroom and the Forum, and we do make every effort to keep these venues a safe space for everyone.
Hope this helps,
Forum Admin
