I was trying to find an old thread about "reasons not to play the lottery" and I can't find it. But my feedback is this...

How does the search function actually work and how is it useful?? ..because when i put any search terms in, it doesn't come up with anything helpful in terms of finding what your looking for.

Its just an observation

Hi SA

Glad you found what you were looking for in the end. There are actually two search options in the forum. The one at the very top right of the page (above 'my account') allows you to search for content quite precisely by titles of post, you can also search by username in this box which would take you to a person's own page. So if you know the name of the user who has written a post or started a thread you should be able to find it that way. If you know it's a post you wrote, it will appear on your posts/threads listed on your own page.

The other search box searches the entire forum for specific words or phrases, so putting in 'lottery' brings up a lot of posts, and so is probably not that useful for finding a specific post about the lottery, as it's a commonly mentioned word. it can be good though for looking for material generally around a certain area.

Hope this helps a bit

regards
