Well we all know that sinking feeling when that other 7 doesn't show up, I don't ever want to feel that again! I'am so P...d off at myself right now.

I'am posting another new member forum post because I feel the need! I just spent 8 hours today going through all my bank statements from 2012, It was a real eye opener to see the progression of this sick twisted addiction! I don't know that guy that was going to the casinos 3 to 4 times a week at some points to burn money into a stupid piece of machinery! I've been sober since Jan 7 2012 and yes from slots, not drinking, I'am now putting this addiction on the same playing field of drug users! This is a very scary addiction, I'am going to try my best to stay sober and continue my therapy. I really want to be honest with myself and at some point have the strength to tell my loved ones how sick this game of slots made me. All I can say if anyone wants a real eye opener, get your bank statement for all of last year, WOW!!!!!! I'am so mad at the establishment that I visited that allowed me to shove money down the throat of that f.....G MACHINE!!!!! They had to know I was sick? Ok, maybe they don't give a S..T about us out here suffering from this addiction, but we can all unite together to help one another out with this terrible affliction.

Thank God there is Gamcare in the UK, because we don't have a forum in the USA like this, haven't found one yet anyhow. I hope everyone on here finds peace and courage to beat this addiction, stay strong!!!!

Sincerely,

Chicagoguy USA

Well done on staying 8 months free, keep staying strong mate.

The gambling industry are nothing but vultures who pray on the vulnerable. The vulnerable being people like you and me who suffer from compulsive tendencies. The house doesn't like a winner and never will. They'll happily watch a person throw their lives down the drain in the name of profit. Casino/bookies websites will suspend than delete anyone's account who is winning to much.

Its good that by you looking at your bank statements you still have kept the fire strong in committing to giving up gambling. However don't ever be tempted to chase those losses. Look to a bright future away from gambling.

Matt
