First post…. took a lot to finally post on here, I have been debating it for a while
I enjoy the casino the games the lights the adrenalin etc…. I go because in my mind I see it as a way to try and win some money whether it be blackjack roulette poker or any game
Take roulette for example - my mind sees it as - the ball will land on that number regardless of what wager is on the felt - therefore how can it be against me? I try to tell myself this is not true but I cannot rationalise it.
Thank you for reading my story

Hello HWG and WelcomeÂ
I hope you will stay on the forum because you need to be here.
You have been offered nothing but the drug of anticipation. A heavy and addictive drug dressed up as entertainment.
All the rest is in your head...your hopes, your fears, your escape and ultimately your addiction.
It's NOT a way of making money on those odds. It's not an income scheme because in no way is it reliable or predictable. It's a short term random event set well against you.
It makes addicts of many people who have developed an illness deluding them from the truthÂ
We understand you. We have all been there and can never be complacent again about the power of an addiction which alters minds and takes them overÂ
Please try and tell people in your family. A gambling problem needs all the help you can get to do the cold turkeyÂ
You have much to learn but you have already made a massive step by admitting to a problem....act on it and build on it for your born again moment!
Best wishes from everyone on the forum
