Hi I am really struggling with debts took out lots of recent loans and gabled them all away was grinding of going bankrupt as anyone done this recently on gambling terms ?
If so could I get your advice please
Hi Urbansky
Sorry to hear about the debt. Bankruptcy is not something to rush into.
The best thing is to actually write down all your debts and incoming, then try and spend a couple of months adjusting to your reduced income. If you can keep paying every one, you may be able to restructure the loans into a longer period but more affordable.
Do not dwell on the debt - it is a problem, and there is no easy fix. At the moment, you need to stop gambling - its often surprinsing how much money you actually have access to once you stop.
Then talk to a company like payplan - make sure it is a free company - they are experts and will guide you. THere are a number of options - but they will all hurt! It will still take time to repay and you will go without in order to resolve these debts - but it is possible, and your life will go on. Learn from it - pay the price and start a recovery plan to stop the gambling.
It can be done and you will come out the other end a stronger person
Hi,
I did the same thing, there is a way out!
I got myself into 2k debt on payday loans. Please phone each of them up like I did and tell them you lost your job and can no longer afford the repayment and offer to make a payment plan with each of them.
I had around 7 payday loans at once so I contacted each one and said the above. I told them to FREEZE ALL INTEREST on the loan and setup a low payment plan for what suited my income. This way you are paying it off with no interest.
I'm now out of the payday loans luckily for me because of this. I hope you take the steps to paying these off and getting clean. I'm not clean but I'm getting there with the help of family 🙂
Hi ,
Paying the debts are important however not as important as stopping gambling. You can have all the solutions and plans in place. If we continue to gamble they are no use. I'm only 4 months off a bet but one thing I have realised is that money can stretch so far when your not gambling. If you can stop the gambling you can pay your debts off even if it means over a longer period etc. I explained to company's I owed I had a gambling problem. Most of them where great about it (especially the payday loan companies). Gambling addiction is an illness. Get the addiction under control and things will fall into place. Like people have said above there a loads of charity's that can help with your financial situation. I would tell them about the gambling
