Hi all.I managed 2.5 years without a bet until recently when the urge finally got me which was about 4 weeks ago however the most damage has been done in the last two nights. Two nights ago I decided to go to the casino and lost a grand and then spent hours chasing this morning and lost a similar amount again.
The biggest issue for myself(and any compulsive gambler)is dealing with the urge’s because acting on an urge can lead to catastrophe and once again it got me.
The problem with gambling is that it’s exhilarating and in particular for me the thought of walking out of a casino with thousands in cash is enticing although in reality it’s fantasy because it rarely happens.
I’ve experienced a mixture of emotions this morning but the only thing I can do is start again and try again because this addiction is tough to beat.
