Morning All,
I am Julie, a 35 year old compulsive gambler from Edinburgh. My gambling has been a problem since 2009. I have always played games online but in 2009 discovered online casinos and, oh dear.
I have known for a long time that my gambling was neither normal nor healthy but it is genuinely incredible how long one can believe one's own lies.
So far, I have managed to keep my addiction a secret. I hope I am strong enough to recover in secret too. Any support or advice would be much appreciated. I will try to do the same for others as my journey progresses and I feel I might be of use to anyone.
I have requested self exclusion from all my sites. I have sort of given up gambling before but withoit ever getting around to excluding which always made it very easy to go back to my gambling ways. Not this time! I have also installed blocking software on my pc.
Five years of just another hundred won't hurt, pretending I am in control, hiding bank statements, sleepless nights, chasing losses stop now.

Well done ! Maybe get rid of credit/debit cards and just get the basic card that can only be used in the atm. Your bank will supply you with just a basic card that cannot be used online etc.
