I went into the chatroom last night and had quite an awakening as i didn't realise how many people were affected by the problem. I don't feel quite so alone now and am looking forward to the journey ahead. I rang the helpline but it was busy so will try again this morning.

Hi mate,

You should look up you nearest GA meeting, chats and forums are good but doing it in person is that much better when you have to face reality. I did councelling and chat rooms previously whcih worked for a while but GA is what has really turned my life around, I highly recommend it. Best of luck in your fight to stay gamble free

The chatroom was my saving grace really. It helped me connect the pieces of the puzzle and give me the strength to want to stop gambling. I now try and check in there as much as I can.

Other than that - try and come on here as much as possible. Look into getting blocks. And try and fill your time as much as possible. It's almost like we have to rewire our brains again.

Best of luck with things.
