Hi Ste26, great to see you have had such positive and supportive feedback my friend, and I applaud your proactive approach.

It may be an idea to start a recovery diary as you will receive regular responses and can monitor your progress, rather than make multiple introduction posts on this part of the Forum. It has helped a great many people and there is a good community there.

Sometimes it is better not to count; I have stopped for around five years after gambling for twenty but I couldn't be sure of the exact amount; having a target can put a lot of unnecessary pressure on your shoulders; I remember getting to one month, and then relapsing straight afterwards, six months and doing the same again; I realized then that it wasn't helping; everyone is different but it is worth bearing in mind.

Well done again. I sincerely hope this is the start of a more positive path in life for you.

Thanks Jamesp I will start a diary il do it now as I'm bored at work when I went 13 months I found that the little milestones helped. This time I feel totally different to when I stopped last time more positive and more driven to succeed because of the low I stooped to this time I never thought I could get that low I broke down. Going to start a diary now and thanks again
