Hi all,
once again I’ve got myself into a situation that I don’t see a way out off this time.
i know I’ve got and had a problem with gambling for many years now. I’ve always lost more than I can afford, but with my job I’ve earned the losses back rather quickly. However over the last few months-year I’ve developed a drink and drug problem, which I’m getting help for. But I owe a lot of money out for said drugs, which leads me to gamble my wages to try and win the debt of. But even when I’ve won enough to pay the debt I always get greedy and end up losing it all.Â
so my question is what is the best action I can take right now?
Well gambling is a drug addiction really, its all part and parcel of the same thing.
You enjoy the feel good feelings of being in action, anticipating the next win, the rush of adrenaline, dopamine and all the other happy chemicals.
You know what the answer is... stay stopped from drink, drugs and gambling.. its the only option really. Go for a run.
Register with gamstop if you gamble online.
i'm fairly sure ive commented on a post of yours before i recognise the user nameÂ
anyway it sounds like things are spiralling out of control which they quickly do for addicts in all walks of lifeÂ
what action can you take !?! .......well the first action would be to stop no more drink , no more drugs no more gambling as quite often one will lead to the otherÂ
as far as the drug debt goes well depending on the types of people your dealing with stuff can get nasty pretty quickly so i would maybe consider relocating or if thats not possible try to pay them off firstÂ
i cant emphasise enough the importance of stopping gambling whilst you find yourself in a situation like this ......gambling causes clouded judgement and desperate plays you will never win when you are desperateÂ

I would try and ask myself. What now? See what comes back to you. At some stage, the repeating has to stop. Either when your brassic or when you have the sense to move away from it. Remember a phrase from a film saying How much is the butcher's bill this time? The longer you hide from your own reality the more expensive that bill will be.Â
