I have been gambling for over 5 years. I achieved to stop a few times but never for long. I relapsed a few months ago and I think I just hit my bottom since I have no more money.

I am not proud of me but I can’t go back. I know it won’t be easy, especially in 1 week when my paycheck hits. I know that I will feel the urge to gamble.

I never spoke to other people about my problem and I don’t know if this will help, but if you could give me a few tips on how to deal with the urges, I would appreciate it!

Hey mate. We all understand what you are going through. We have all been there.

Today is my 63 day gambling free. Now, to gamble you need three things;

1. Money 2. Time 3. Medium (Online or Landbased Casino)

To stop gambling you need to limit your access to the three. Start by blocking your self from Land based casino using Moses and from online casino using Gamban or GamBlock.

 The second step is to create a buffer zone between you and your money. Put restrictions in your bank and if possible let someone you trust to handle your money for you.

The last step will be to rekindle an old hobby to occupy your free time.

Lastly always remember that what you have lost will never be won back. Cut your losses. It's only a fool who will try and solve a problem the same way he created them. Let's stop being fools. Let's stop feeding the monster.

Most importantly take it one day at a time. For me, I chose not to gamble today

First thing first forget the past and learn to forgive yourself, we cant change the past but what we can do is change the future, each person is different you need to be true to yourself, in the past i didnt want to stop gambling i just didnt want to lose, after my last relapse i decided i dont want to gamble as humans we all want to better ourself through financal secruity we all want to have an easier life and money does bring us comfort however this time i want to earn it, and if i do fall on hard times i dont want to fall into the gambling trap, im also finding other things to do to take my mind off gambling anything to do with risk i dont want to be associated with im going to take it one day at time am on day 11 today i will not gamble and i will stop worrying about the future
