I’’m not really sure how to start this. I’m 30 years old and I’ve been gambling for more than half my life… I would say the first taste for it would probably be the £5 jackpot fruit machines at 10p a go.
I’m not sure when it became an issue but it’s been a big issue now for over 10 years where I would say 90-95% of my time and wage has gone in to gambling which has caused me friendships, relationships and of course debts!
im writing this after gambling today and coming home after ignoring the 50+ calls and texts from my girlfriend which I do love and for some reason she has stuck by me and does understand what it is I’m going through.
I have self excluded from betting shops and arcades but still find myself somehow going in there whether it be one a bit further out (current ban is 30km) or trying my luck with a hat 🧢.
im not really sure what I’m trying to get out of writing this but I thought I would give it a go and journal how my recovery goes this time.
Hope to speak to a few of you and help each other stay on the right track.

Firstly, Well done for making the first step and admitting and noticing the problem. The real work starts here though! Make sure all and every stop is in place. Look into making a debt management plan. The guys here will be able to point you in the right directions.
