TODAY IS DAY 12 BEING GF.

I believe setting future goals/targets will help you stay disciplined. The biggest and most painful thing for me since quitting is the pain of losing so much money over the last 10 years. Loans, credit cards, remortgages.
It’s only when I have stopped gambling, when all these thoughts hit home.

Set a target, a point in time to reach that makes you look forward and not back. My target is being debt free in 3 years. I have a countdown app on my phone.

EVERY DAY IS A STEP CLOSER TO BEING DEBT & GAMBLE FREE FOR ME. COME ON.

@c17ort  Evening King

Great words and work from you.

Setting goals and have future visions is really important.

My son gambled for 9 years and having these has made a difference too.  Like the app of the countdown but make sure it does not cause pressure on a difficult day.  Plan and be aware of triggering times in the year like birthdays , Christmas anniversaries  etc  by making sure you get support to get through challenging moments.

Daily reflections are really good also of things that are positive in your life as sometimes we cannot always see them. Reflections daily allow you to look back on a difficult day to spur you on.

A better life is achievable and you can mend relationships and work on you.

Don't forget to call helpline on 0808 8020 133 and reach out on any days that feel vulnerable.

Best wishes

Hi

It was important for me to write down my needs, my wants and my goals.

I understand that success is based on my healthy actions and my healthy words.

By working on my recovery I achieve so much more with my life and my time.

By expressing my gratide and my appreciation is an expression of my healthy values.

By expressing my gratide and my appreciation is a healthy kind of intimacy showing how much people mean to me today.

Just for today I do not want or need to gamble.

Just for today I do not want or need to gamble because by gambling I made my life much worse and more painful.

Healing love and peace to every one.
