Hi Jo.
You might think you hate yourself now. But you can learn to love yourself again. That being if you're up for the challenge?

The piece you just wrote has been written by thousands upon this site. Just by reading the bit you have wrote I can tell you've probably just had a heavy loss?

I'll let you in on a way I can guarantee you win every week
That's by not gambaling
As you're new I'll run through the pointers.
Self exclusion its a must
If online blocking software to be added by a family member
Scrap your bank card order a new one and get someone to remove the cvv code from the reverse.
Counselling if you think it will help use it Gamcare do it free.
Gambalers anonymous Google your nearest one. It's also free
They also do free biscuits win win
Biggest and most definitely needed is support support support. The more people you tell the better prepared you will be.
Last but not least is financial control think about passing it to a partner or parents especially through the initial period.
Today can be the start of something new if you choose to change.

It might hurt now but it gets easier every day

Keep posting

Deano

Hi first thing is don't hate yourself JoPoppyJo what you are going through is one of the worst things a compulsion to gamble but fear not you have made a start by coming here it's going to be roller coaster at first long as you start putting in the strategies in place for recovery then it can get easier and you will start thinking clearly what you want to do.First you must commit to stop gambling and admit you have a problem look at all the options available to you that can help gamcare,ga,friends and family, the forum posts take on board advice and look at your finances because gambling costs money .you will get good feed back here people in the same boat good luck

Hi Jo, I'm new in here too and am taking great comfort in knowing I am not alone..you are not alone. I felt exactly as you do two months ago, complete rock bottom and it looks like it's going to cost me my marriage. But you have admitted to yourself you have a problem and that's brave. I see a counsellor once a week and it's helping enormously, I'd encourage you to do the same. There is light at the end, it just takes time. You can do this.
