Hello Cj

You are clearly struggling a great deal with what you've done, and what to do about it. No one here can tell you 100% what the outcome would be. You would need to take legal advice for that. You need help to get your gambling under control or this situation will only get worse. Many users here have urged you to call the GamCare helpline - we are non-judgemental and you needn't give any personal information if you'd rather not.

If you choose to keep discussing this here on the forum, can I draw your attention to one of our forum rules:

http://www.gamcare.org.uk/forum/disclosure-criminal-activity-forum

Again, if you'd like to talk this over please do give the helpline a call on 0808 8020 133.

Best wishes

I can't advise you love...I'm not a legal beagle. ..
But you need to talk to someone...preferably your sister and gamcare...ideally your mum..I appreciate she's an elderly lady...but ultimately it's her money you've spent. ..
And if you spending it means its leaving her very short of income for her....then the only way for her to get her money back is by you owning up....that's why you have to speak to your sister...it won't go away love. ...often these things take a crisis to come to light...so...what if. ..for example mums roof blows off...your sister says...oh well...shes got the cash in the bank we can fix it....and then goes into bank with mum....oh sorry...its all gone...CRISIS !
I'm not in anyway trying to scare you...just show the black/white..
Think about it
games up...

Has anyone suggested being honest? You didnt spend your mums money, you stole it. I stole huge amounts from my parents also so im not judging. It just seems that the clearest way to sort this out is to actually do the right thing & put your mother in the picture. Where it goes from there is then an informed choice on her behalf.

Not a nice situation. It's a crazy sickness and I feel for you and your poor mother. You need to proceed with talking to your sister first and ask her opinion before approaching your mother. If it was me i would think about my mother's future before my own in the long run for sure.

Do not think that there is no where left to turn. This is the time to make changes and turn your life around...this is what we are on here for.

I wish you well brother.

Regards, John
