Hi everyone,

I’m John, 24 years old and unfortunately  a recovering gambling addict..

My last bet was on 17 December 2020. So today marks my 70 days gambling free!! I’m nowhere where I want to be, but I manage to be 70 days clean, that’s the longest I have ever been. Feeling much less stressed due to the gambling and I can sleep in peace now. Where before I could not sleep in peace due to all the stress I had because of gambling..

I have a question for al the male gambling addicts here;

did you recognize that you were getting bald due to the stress what comes with gambling? I have the idea that I was getting bald due to all these stress.. I don’t know if you could get bald due to the gambling so I’m very curious if you guys have experienced the same thing or that I’m just getting bald because I’m getting older..

Wishing you guys al the best, and if you have any questions how I managed to stay 70 days clean without gambling just give me a quick message.

If I can do it, you can do it!

stay safe guys 😉

John

Hi John first of all well done for getting to 70 days mate. Hoping that turns into 700 for you. As for the bald question?? I lost a hell of a lot money on my last gamble and the stress and anxiety was horrific. But my hair still like tarzans with the lockdown ha. Thats just my case. Hope things work out for ya.
All the best

Hows it going mate? Well done on doing 70 days if youve went that long then you're doing something right. I myself am 27 now and gambled from the age off 12 and had an addiction by 13/14. My last bet was on boxing day 2020 and so far have gone 61 days without gambling so pretty close to you. Firstly sign up to gamstop so you cant gamble online and secondly try to change your mindset to believe that nothing good comes from gambling (which it doesnt) If you can do these things it will be alot less off a struggle for you. I gambled for 14 years and came out the other end with nothing to show for it except alot off negative impacts. I tried to quit when i was 23/34 but continued for another 3 years. You have the chance to save yourself by not gambling for another 3 years like i did, adding to your losses. The best thing to do right now is not to gamble as addicts never win! As for the bald thing i cant say that has happened to me and have been praying for the barbers to opem for months now lol.

All the best mate, your best bet is to not gamble. Im aiming for 100 days myself then it'll probably be 6 month's

it definitely did a number on my hair and especially, my heart. I felt like having heart attacks due to the adrenaline of it and severe anxiety waiting for my bets to finish. Not good really.. the feeling of stress got too much so I had to stop.
