Hi all,

I'm completely sick of gambling and have to quit for good now. I have been gambling for over 20 years. It started with a small bet on football, then larger amount, and eventually escalated to huge amount of money, all just to fill the void of boredom in the evenings.

I have been signed up to 'GamStop' for a year, but I recently discovered these 'non-GamStop' sites. It's like the wild west out there, and they refuse to close accounts. I know they are sketchy, but the boredom overrides my better judgment.

I'm fed up with losing money and living from payday to payday.

I'm hoping that being part of a community with people who have similar experiences and a desire to quit will finally help me overcome my gambling habit.

I'm more than happy to form a bit of a alliance with people to these us through this!!

Thanks,

Chris

It's a horrible cycle..I've been gambling 20 years too. Literally could have had my own mortgage free house. Instead, I live with my mum.

Gambling is demonic. It's the worst thing. Because it's the silent killer.

I hope you can be strong. Never gamble again. It's the only way.

@x-m it’s horrible isn’t it. I can go from 1-100 within an hour.

I feel your pain. Feel like I’ve worked my whole career for pretty much free due to gambling. it stops now for me….I hope for you too!
I feel if I’m talking about it, I won’t be doing it!

Hello Chris.
I was doing great for 2 years on gamban then found out about those non gamban sites and got stuck in a rut again. Along with those stupid online raffle/competition sites I can’t block I’m starting to stress.

I am so sorry that you are going through such tough times with your gambling problem. This is a tough road, but the decision to quit is a critical early step in getting help. Supportive relationships within a community of individuals who have similar experiences and have chosen to beat gambling addiction can be very valuable.
