Hello my name is Aron stoker and this is the first time I have done this so please bear with me. I am compulsive gambler and have a gambling addiction. My main form is roulette in bookies and casinos and online. Sometimes I bet on football. My last bet was today in the bookies and have gambled £1700 roughly of all my wages. Nobody knows in my family what I have done today and only my girlfriend and my friend only know. I am so low and depressed right now and have no belief anymore in myself. I just don't know what to do. I would appreciate some feedback
I Aron, I too and new to forum. My name is Alistair, I am 41 and I have a gambling problem. I have gambled for years and now I am seeing that this addiction is starting to ruin my relationship with my wife, my job and my friendships. I am looking for any support or advise anyone can give to kick this awful habit.
I have just spoken to a Gamcare advisor and their help has been great, I would advise starting a chat session with one of them and they will be able to advise you.
Alistar it's nice to hear from you. My best advice to you is self block yourself from bookies and casinos accounts you have. Open up to your wife and she will support you. I have just told my girlfriend I have gambled and hasn't spoken to me since. I don't how to tell my mum about today. Finicially I'm in debt and got no money now. What's your advice
I am no expert, but it is only a handful of people that know that I have a problem. I sometimes think that telling my parents would upset them and maybe not be the right thing to do in my situations. Would telling your parents help? Everyone's personal situation is differnet and you know your own family better than anyone. You have made the first step in admitting you have a problem, speak to a Gamcare advisor and see what they recommend. As for your money situation, speak to your creditors, but try not to put yourself in a situation where you have more money to gamble until you have everything under control.
