If you are betting on the direction of a product rather than owning the actual contract then thats trading and gambling. If leverage is involved and you aren't owning the product then that's even worse. You need to get some help mate. Start going to GA meetings, meet like minded people and get some clean time up. You will literally never stop if you do not and you will never have any money. You are fooling yourself saying you have lost $30k but have $15k in the bank. That's a net loss of $15k. Just say it like it is. You are living below the line. There is a great book called win, lose repeat about spread betting and the ways they control you that I urge you to read. I did the spreads and CFD's for about 8 years and it nearly broke me. Its a terrible addiction. If you dont take action you will be doing this for the rest of your life and you will always be broke.
