Hi InTooDeep
Sorry to hear you have gambled. I totally understand how some bad news led you to relapse.
Can I ask what blocks you have in place to help you? If you are gambling online then Gamstop has to be the way ahead. Has helped me no end.
I understand you will be feeling terrible but try and be kind to yourself and take actions to help yourself.

Honestly, going cold turkey without a real plan is really hard. You need to be in the right frame of mind and have a plan in place. As you said, something comes up and you gamble...
Put blocks in place. Look at why you gamble.. gambling is always a symptom of something else, the problem is that most people do not tackle these issues. Sometimes people overcome gambling and develop a new habit instead.
I wish you all the best.
Don't give up!
Yes you messed up but don't dwell on it, if you do, it will eat you up. Don't forget though, remember how that made you feel and use it as encouragement the next time you even contemplate it.
You wouldn't walk across a busy road without looking. When you gamble you forget everything that is left and right of you whether it's family/Bills/rent/food/friends etc, At some point something is going to crash into you!! It has and now you are here.
If you put blocks in place you can stop more things crashing into you. Use the traffic lights/Gamstop to stop the traffic. Let someone help you across the road/family member perhaps that can manage your money and give you moral support.
Most important thing is you must want to get across the road.
Good luck
