Hi I'm taking that first step to quit FOBT gambling for good

I thought I'd take the chance to introduce myself first

So hi my names aaron and I live in mamchester

here we go...

Well firstly I would just like to mention that I am getting addicted to these FOBT machines particularly in ******* bookies

I would like to stress that I NEVER touch roulette and my vice is slot games such as ******** and ********.. Sometimes ******* and ********.

It all started when I visited a bookies and started playing 25p slots and won 50

I then continued going in these bookies and upping my stakes from 25p to 50p and now I've got silly and started on 1 stakes plus the occasional dreaded FORTUNE spin

I lost 75 the other day.. Chased my loss and won 400

Then the next day same thing.. Lost 78 and won 140

Today I've totally lost 140 and it's made me feel awful and sick

That money was for a few xbox games and petrol

I know I can do it with the help of others but Just not on my own

Can anyone give me advice?

Maybe some horror stories from anyone else on the slots fobts will make me think twice before putting a 20 note x 5 in a FOBT

I just can't do this anymore to myself and my wife

Go to the website called stop the FOBTS. Mate listen to me, you might as well get your money and throw it down the drain, it's not about the money, it's the addiction your feeding, the buzz. If someone gave you a million pounds would you gamble? you've probably answered yes, but why, you have a million pounds, are you greedy? no, it's feeding the buzz. I won the 500 quid once on them FOBTS and i still had 17 free spins left but the max payout was 500 quid, that's not fair, it's fixed. You can have the odd wins over 200 quid but it all goes back, maybe not today, not tomorrow, but it will. You will also be amazed if you have a job and don't gamble how much money you have in a short space of time, just a few months. Only you can do it and if you can't stop then try and get to a GA meeting, people will understand you. And go to a supermarket and see what you can buy with 10 quid, loadsof stuff and there's you and me in the past handing over hundreds, thousands, making the rich richer. Do it for yourself, one day at a time. Before you play a FOBT just think do i really want that angry horrible feeling after when it's taken all my money, my time, plus the lies i've got to tell about covering how the money went. Or do i want to feel chilled out after a hard days graft, relaxed in the knowledge i don't have to lie and i've got time to do anything positive. C'mon son, make that decision to stop, i did and life is much better.
