Hi guys,

Thank you so much for sharing your stories it is so nice knowing you're not alone. I have (after over 2 years of compulsive gambling and an extremely bad month with losing money) finally admitted to myself that I have a problem and need to stop being in denial. This is a new chapter and I am willing to do anything to stop gambling. So I just want to ask if anyone has any advice/positive quotes/stories they wouldn't mind sharing?

Thank you 🙂

Hi Rhi123,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your post.

I’m pleased to learn that stories shared in our forum has encouraged you to admit to your gambling problem, and thus do something about it.

Since you’re willing to do what it takes to overcome your gambling problem, I suggest that you contact our free phone Helpline on: 0808 8020 133, and speak to one of our advisers for help and support, and as a means of starting a new chapter of your life just like you said.

Hopefully, fellow forum members will be sending some of the quotes you requested for, and you can find loads of inspiring stories from our forum.

My best wishes to you on your journey to recovery. Stay strong, and keep posting!

Kind regards,

Beatrice

Hi Folks,

I tried most things to stop including councelling, but still went back as could not admit to the seriousness of this addiction and deep down did not want to stop. GA was what has helped me the most, it has helped change my mindset which is vital. Look up your nearest GA meeting and make it part of your life, it is proven to work for people who really want to change.
