Contact step change they can help you organize you're debts and are extremely helpful.

Second i would also maybe admit you have a gambling problem and look at the resources on this site which might help you over come this horrible addiction and bring back some freedom in you're life.

Third option is also a potential physical GA meeting which seems scary but helped me a lot when I first looked for help.

Take care

agree to the above, if you sign up with stepchange then they will give you a case number which you can give to companies you owe to and show you are getting help, then the calls, letter and emails should stop

Depending on the size of the debt I would be be looking at setting up a debt repayment plan or potential insolvency

It took me around 4 years to clear 15K and that was about 7 years ago , I will never use credit again

I am in the same boat, i've registered with step change, I would go through them because they don't have any bottom lines, they don't charge for their service either. I used to be with a financial management company for a DMP and they charged a lot for fee's, we paid at least 25%-35% every month in fees, and a 5 year plan took us 8 years. I am probably going to have to get an IVA, as I don't have enough spare money to pay for a new DMP, as all the debt is just in my name, so it would only be me paying for it. Hope that you manage to get something organised. I know from my point of view just having this sorted will be a huge weight off my mind, and knowing the credit cards are completely gone and will never come back sounds like heaven right now. Honestly don't care if my credit rating is 100 for the rest of my life after this, i will never EVER get a credit card again.
