Hi, my husband is a gambling addict and I have believed he has been gamble free for the past couple of years, however 2 soft credit checks have appeared on his credit file. Both identity verification for 2 well known gambling sites. He says this must be an error. Has anyone ever had this happen to them by mistake or am I being naive? I just want to help him but can’t if he won’t open up and be honest.Â
Do a full credit check and check his browsers history on everything. And get gamban on his devices asap.Â
I’m sorry love, but he’s likely lying.Â
Red flags all over. I would be asking to see deleted emails etc as I suspect there is more to this than a mistake. I may be wrong, but gamblers are sneaky liars so take this with a pinch of salt. Honesty is the only way forward, starting with themselves. I hope this is a mistake and the credit checks are a mistake. If so he should ask to have them removed and contact the companies involved to complain. Best of luck
@han05 I really hope I’m wrong babes. Let us know how you get on xx
