Hello,

i have fallen into the habit of over debiting on paypal with funds i don’t have, i now have £16000 outstanding debits that i dont have the funds for and my direct debits will now start to bounce.

i cant afford to repay this

i have read multiple threads of people doing the same thing and i am wondering what the most recent outcomes were and how paypal dealt with this please

safe to say i feel sick to my stomach and it has turned me away from gambling which is a great thing

i am 13 weeks pregnant , no one knows about this and i just need to see some light

Hi,

PayPal was one of my biggest things too! I had other debts too, on loans and credit cards. In the end they just deal with it like any other company would. I had to go through StepChange and do a debt management plan and the debt with PayPal is on that. I think it would be the only way if you cannot afford to pay it? If this is your only debt then you could also contact them sort out a repayment plan with them?

did paypal offer you to pay the back in instalments directly without having to go through step change at all?

@0yd8jmge2a hi

Yes, they did offer it but my debt was so high, I couldn’t afford to pay any of it, so StepChange was my only option really. You’ve got to remember, if you’ve missed a payment already or haven’t paid PayPal on time or set up a repayment plan with them,  this will affect your credit rating anyway. I know doing a DMP will cause defaults on your credit, but the peace of mind and the weight lifted I wouldn’t be able to explain in words.
Can you afford to pay the credit card and loan payments? Obviously the gambling has to stay stopped too, otherwise you’ll be going round in circles. Don’t let it take anything else from you. I’m on day 530 gamble free today xx
