Hi, I guess this is at least a step in the right direction.

I had a rough last couple of weeks and got into a mindset that I'm sure loads of you can relate to, money's tight so you think I'll just put £20 on here and get it to £100 and take it so I can do this that or the other, then a day or so later I've lost all my rent money and barely have enough to get any groceries for the rest of the month.

Then all the you know what marketing is in your face telling you about this week and how it's so incredible and it just feels like a kick in the teeth right now when everything seems to be crumbling around me.

But I'm here now, and hoping for this to be the way forward so I can put these last 8.5 years behind me and get my life put right.

Hi,

definitely a step in the right direction ☺️ well done for coming this far. I’m only on day 13 gf but it’s such a relief.

I know exactly what you mean by risking a bit of money to win then losing more than intended. I always thought I’ll play once and if I win I win and if I lose I lose but the truth is, once I started I couldn’t stop chasing the bonuses.

At least we are more aware of it now and can put plans in place to stop the dreaded urges to gamble.

I’ve just been paid and that’s triggered me to gamble but I’ve just spoken to an advisor on here. I don’t even get paid that much, so it’s a struggle anyway.

hope your day is brighter today and look forward to seeing you in the 8pm chat rooms if you can make them?

kind regards

Jules

@trgmz9u2jp thanks for the reply, it's nice to just open up and people having that understanding.

I know the feeling, you've just been paid and you feel like well at the moment if I lost a bit it's not too bad but then you find yourself in that mode of oh well another 20 won't matter too much and then all of a sudden it's chasing the original stake.

Hope you're well and that 2 week mark will be here before you know it.

Tim
