Hi, iv been here before years ago and after a few relapses, I managed to turn my life around. Unfortunately I have slipped into gambling again. I have just set another 5 year exclusion on Gamstop as that is what saved me last time. Time to start again I guessÂ
So good that you managed to turn your life around, and recognised straight away that you should self exclude.Â
what do you think made you relapse?
Hi
Giving up your addictions and obsessions and sticking with meetings will help you live a much healthier life.
I now understand that my addictions and obsessions were very unhealthy and painful for me.

Hi thanks for the replies.Â
I used gamstop for a 5 year exclusion and it completely stopped me gambling. When it expired, I opened a new gambling account thinking I could just use it for the odd football bet, but I was constantly drawn to the casino games. I kept winning small amounts but that just made me want to keep doing it until I lost. I used gamstop again but only chose 6 months. Then when that 6 months expired, I have just done the same thing.Â
luckily I didn’t go into my old self destruct mode and keep gambling. I blocked the casino games at first but straight after, I decided to just gamstop for another 5 years. I’m not the person who can be trusted to have a gambling account to have the odd football bet, I will always want to do more so for me, this is the best way. Feels good to know that temptation has now been taken away from me againÂ
Affected by gambling?
