You will be scared, have regrets and lots of them. You will no doubt feel depressed. Worried and anxious.
Its normal, any change in lifestyle will be. There are lots of tips on this forum of how to get that first few steps and first few days out of the way, find what works for you.
I tried to stop many many times over the years, it was always through desperation and panic that my life was on a downward spiral, and i just could not see it changing in the future.
Stopping is so important and should be done straight cold turkey and no looking back, stick to your guns and be positive and determined.Â
Research your problem, sit and work out why you do what you do, what is the build up to you gambling, maybe its stress or boredom. Learn to spot your triggers early and plan for when they begin to appear don`t wait and then try to fight it when its on top and all over you.
After a few weeks expect clearer thoughts, better decisions, this is the time to think out and make small but achievable life changes. Try to create out of the chaos that same obsession but this time to stop gambling, and slowly build a positive cycle. From there use your positiveness to address your life, and put the bits right that added to you gambling. There is no one thing, more lots of little things that you can and will improve.
I never ever managed to quit through desperation i know and admire people that have though. Being positive, thinking how and then beginning to claim my life back was a very difficult process but became clearer as weeks and months went by.
Being apprehensive about it and pessimistic is normal, but will slowly improve if you get the gamble free days in.
I am and always will be a gambling addict but have no intention of giving in and gambling.
The good news is i`am enjoying life now, no massive ups and downs just enjoying living a steady life.
Â
You too will be soon, work hard, stay focused, and don`t be scared of quitting, it is the most rewarding thing you will ever do, good luck.

Thank you for this! - I think it is important that we all know things can and will get better when we cut the activity of gambling out of our lives ❤
Great contribution, sums up myself and where I am. I couldn’t stop on will power alone so self excluded from everywhere around where I live and of course used GameStop.  I would suggest using all the facilities that are available to help and talk to family & friendsÂ
