I’ve put all blocks on my device now but I just feel like it’s something I’ll never properly get over.
I didn’t gamble for over a year and then the last few months it’s just spiralled out of control.
it’s a constant chasing the loss and wanting that huge win (which obviously never comes)

a part of me enjoys it when I do it however the feeling afterwards I feel like I’ve let my whole family down and I’m just a huge disappointment.
I apologise but I further continue to do it so it never seems like I am. It’s just so difficult to explain to people who have never had the addiction what it feels like and how hard the urges are to over come.
I think I’m just looking for some clarity that I’m not the only one that feels this way.
here is to the first day of overcoming this devastating addiction

The first step is the hardest, well done for admitting you have a problem and actively putting blocks in the way to help you stop.

It sounds like you have recognized the problem early on so please please keep working on self improvement and keep coming back to this website for help. It's a long road of recovery and you have taken it by the horns... Don't give up!

Just for today I will not gamble and enjoy the natural pleasures in life like extra mature cheese
