After being almost 3 years without gambling, controlling each € I have, here I am falling again to the claws of slot machines.

On october 2013 I decided to try new online slots available in Spain (due to Spanish Regulation on 2011, many online casinos stopped to operate or to offer slots in Spain).

I was convinced that I had the total control. I was totally sure that I would never spend more than 50€-100€ per month, only to have fun.

Totally wrong! I was falling into the addiction again.

I went too far when I started to spend all the funds that I receive each month. I could not stop until my bank account turns to Zero.

Each time I self-exclude myself from a casino, I go and start a new account on another casino.

I would highly appreciate it if you can tell me about the way to exclude myself from any casino online, whether it is installed in Spain or not.

There is a form on the Government website which only excludes you from online casinos in Spain (with domain ending in .es). It did not help me. I need to exclude myself from any casino online which operates in Spain and its domain is not ".es".

Thank you in advance for your help.-

Hiya,

Sadly I believe there's no way for you to exclude from all of them in one go. Your Government website option (that you've already taken) is already better than what we have in the UK.

HOWEVER you can install blocking software on your computer that works a treat. This will stop you from accessing online gambling in any form, no matter where it's based in the world. Try Googling for Betfilter, Gamblock, TxNoGam or K9 web protection - the latter is free but password-controlled, so you need another person to put the password on for you. I guess there may be equivalents in Spain.

(If you're worried about paying a few euros for blocking software just consider how much money you lose in one session. My software must have saved me many thousands of pounds by now.)

You're doing the right thing to protect yourself and give yourself some breathing space. You'll soon feel better. You've gone nearly 3 years without gambling (well done on this by the way) so you know you can live happily without.

All the best

FF

@feetforward, thank you so much for your motivating message.

I have recently heard a lot (good things, by the way) about Betfilter, andI decided to install it yesterday. It is really effective and better the K9 option which implies to have someone controlling password. You are absolutely right, paying few € for the license is uncomparable with the huge amounts I may have lost gambling.

And also decided this morning to be sincere and confident with my husband. I gave him my bank cards (personal and business) and told him to control my purchases from now on.

I am decided to get rid of this hard addiction. I already went once thru this and it meant the worst months in my life.

I will be updating my status properly on GamCare and hope to be able to tell you in the near future: I am totally out again!

Best regards,

Great! So glad to hear this.

This IS a hard addiction but you know you can get through this tough period and calm your life back down. You're doing all the right things.

All the best to you
