I thought I was doing so well. 46 days gf and then go ruin it. I just don’t know what comes over me. I work really hard for what I get and then in a couple hours it can be gone and more. This time I need to change. If anyone has any suggestions on how please let me know.

Thanks

I suggest to believe that you can and will get past this part of your life. We have to know deep down inside. Then latch onto resources like this and definately try to get some face to face help. tara2

cj - sorry to hear that.

46 days is a decent start and well done for that, how did you manage that? what blocks did you have in place, what support did you seek?

How are you going to do things differently this time?

I'm still early days, relative to my 20+ year addiction but I have finally managed a decent stretch by truly facing into the consequences of my actions

Being open, committed and by taking ownership of my previous choices all feel like it's helping me to have another chance at life

I wish you well but in short, try everything, talk, read, understand addiction and for today, choose to not gamble

all the best

Sorry to hear about your slip.

I seem to do the same all the time, sometimes gambling doesn’t even cross your mind does it then boom hard earned money can go in to thin air and then the regret sinks in :/ it literally makes me want to die there and then

I am also trying to better my life I’ve been a lot more open about my gambling problem in general since I joined this forum, looking to go to ga meeting to talk face to face I know it can help but it’s taking that first step in there gives me anxiety and I panic

Hope you can find your way to conquer your problem.
