Thanks for your words of support dazz. I see what your saying, i'll keep an eye on everyone progress but just gonna take some time out of the challenge and get my head straight in my own way.
Cheryl... so sorry to read of your recent episode. The exact same thing happened to me. Unfortunately I went and reset my counter from 226 days to zero on 8th Aug. Then reset again after a mere 20 days. I found it very hard to refocus but everyones correct... try and see is as a small blip. I hope not too much financial damage was caused and I hope you regain focus and push on.
Mark
Checking in Day 98.
Pleased to see you checking in on the challenge Cheryl, and I understand you taking a break from it Mark, but pleased to see you staying around, you have both done so well on your recoveries, please remember it was only a blip, both your recoveries are stronger than the blip now, xx

Hi Claire,
Checking in on 489 days.
Keep marching troops, we are all doing something quite amazing, we are kicking this addiction into oblivion, slowly but surely.
Have a good gambling free week,

Checking in on day 133!
Hello guys, sorry to hear of your blip Cheryl, but Suzanne's right. It's just a blip and you must focus on how well you've done this year and continue with the same determination we know you posess. Think of how many days you've done this year and nothing's changed. You are a very long way into recovery and must use every ounce of strength to carry on and maintain your focus.
I shall do the weekly days count tomorrow again this week.

Day 444 - checking in.
Sending lots of good wishes to you all. Suzy
Checking in early this week, day 134, every day week month is a struggle but like anything in life I you commit to it you reap your rewards.
I think every day not gambling is a success, that's why it pains me to see people have a blip and get so down on themselves, the long term objective is total recovery, gambling has taken so much and given so little. Keep fighting everyone, today is a good day, today is a gamble free day.
Good afternoon
Hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday.

beckyc290 reached 100 days. Well done to you.
Some great progress from newer members this week. TheGhost hits 5 weeks and Lordlucan & WillDo79 continuing the efforts reaching their third weeks gamble free.
Time4honesty and Odj1987 completed their first weeks.
Appreciate your honesty brutus123c and you restarted your days count this week after a fantastic 260 odd days this year. Like many have said this week, it's important not to feel like you've undone anything. If you can get through the rest of the year having only had one session of gambling all year, that will be such an amazing achievement.
sonic boom decided to leave the challenge this week, but I'm sure he will continue the fight, we wish him well and doors open to return of course anytime.
What I think we must remember is something I read on sonics diary.
A blip is just a blip and it's one or two steps backwards in a way, but you cannot allow it to undo all the steps forward in progress that's made in reaching a large number of days non gambling. It takes an awful lot of effort and determination and motivation to rack up those weeks/months/years gamble free. Just because you reset your counter (as some have recently) and most of us have in the past, it does not undo your past hard work. As Dazz1982 says, counting consecutive days is great but perhaps it's our individual cumulative totals for 2015 we should really be celebrating.
Have a good week all
Clare
Late check in but I have made it to ten days!! Yippee! Am enjoying some family time in France so no opportunity to gamble but am hoping this will help break the cycle.
Lovely update Claire, and thank you for continuing to run this thread.
