Hi Grace,

The first thing you do is call the Samaritans you can call from any phone on 116 123 for free. They are the experts and are wonderful to deal with.

I'd also suggest calling gamcare on 0808 8020 133, I saw your post about it being a scam that is not a true statement they are their to help you and all my dealings with them have been very helpful.

I have flagged your post as abusive, I know it is not I just wanted to alert admin to it.

Hello Grace,

As Oldhamktf has recommended, if you're experiencing suicidal thoughts you could call the Samaritans on their freephone number 116 123 http://www.samaritans.org/how-we-can-help-you/contact-us You could also discuss how you're feeling with your GP. Spending time in the company of other people can sometimes help to reduce distress. One possibility might be to spend time with family and friends, another option might be to visit a local branch of the Samaritans: http://www.samaritans.org/branches The Samaritans website advises that "Many branches offer the opportunity to talk to a volunteer face to face if you find it easier. Check your nearest branch's webpage to see if it offers this service. It's best to phone ahead to make sure a volunteer is definitely available, and to let them know you are coming".

If you'd like to use professional therapeutic support for your recovery from problem gambling, you can find out about booking a face-to-face counselling appointment with a local GamCare counselling service, by calling an adviser on our freephone 0808 8020 133. The adviser will be able to take your details and look into support options near you.

Take care,

Forum admin.
