Thanks for the update. Checking in. Day 63
Would love to join , how ?
I've been here before I stayed off gambling for a year but for the last 3 months have been back in the casinos, and last night after a tough loss have decided enough is enough so today is my first day being gamble free. hopefully I can beat this addiction.
Checking in for the week on day 467
Cheers for the shout out K2, checking in for this week gf
alhugh89....I wouldn’t say I’ve overcome my addiction, it’s there and I know it’ll always be there but everyday I make the decision that today is not the day for me to give in, use every available resource that you can, use the forum, use the chat room, phone them up, literally take it one day at a time, in the beginning I was going hour by hour and they really seemed to drag! Expect difficult times will happen and be prepared for them....even now my husband can come home from work and he’ll just be given my bank cards, he won’t question he just accepts that in that moment I need him to take them, I do still occasionally feel a failure when I do this but I also feel strong, strong that in that moment I now recognise I need a little more help, strong that I am in control and willingly putting myself in a safe position. It’s taken me a long time to get to where I am and I had many, many relapses until I just said to myself enough is enough, I can’t do it any more, it was making me ill and I needed it to stop. The most important thing, for me, was to not quit quitting because I knew there was something better than living in a perpetual hell and I knew those small hours I managed to go gamble free would soon add up to something bigger. Hang in there mate it’s worth it.
Checking in 8 days gf. Been busy busy. It helps.
Checking in. š
Hi
Wasn’t going to be a part of this any more as I seem to keep tripping and falling at the hurdles lately but I’ve almost done two weeks now so time to rejoin.
I’m on day 13 and back on the gamble free train.

Well done everyone checking in this week, and a big welcome to all those checking in for the first time. Stick with it. Stop gambling one day at a time. Attend GA if you can.
Big shout to onlyme for 3 calendar years, Triangle for 5 calendar years, and NeilC for 2 calendar years.
An inspiration to us all. It can be done.
recovering from an addiction can be the toughest thing a person ever does. If you don't find this describes your experience count yourself lucky
