Congrats @ssc180922 on the 10 weeks, that's awesome.

First month in the books!! Wow 30 days gamble free, I'm very happy with that. Its a great achievement that everyone one should be proud of. This road and journey isn't easy but is of course well worth it. So anytime you have a bit of success and reach a goal such as this, celebrate and be proud. Take the little and the big wins and use them as motivation and as reminders that it can be done, you are doing it and if you can do one day gamble free you can do a 100, take it one day at a time, and if it's a tough day take it an hour or even a minute at a time, urges will come and urges will go! Just give it time.

But enough talk of urges this is a time of success, and a thank you to you all for taking this journey and this challenge, I'm really happy to be doing this thread, it's great to hear the successes people are having along the way. We're in it together, that's what gamcares about.

So take care all, well done and thank you again, and finally...

I hope you've remembered your advent calendars!!!!

Sorry I missed last week, not really sure why? Although I haven't felt great, I can't get rid of a cold, it has been busy looking after littlin, work, Christmas. If I'm being honest though I think it's purely been that I've been mentally distracted I've had some big things happen and they've played on my mind. So the latest big one is my uncle is in hospital with terminal cancer, I've had a bad last few months with health issues in the family, both my mum and dad have had time in hospital, my auntie passed away and now my uncle. Sorry to bring the mood down but just feel like I need to type it out and get it off my chest a bit. Things will obviously settle down but just a bit of a rough time.

Proof I'm getting older and as I get older so does everyone else but that's why it's important to make the most of everything and to take care of ourselves so we can enjoy life as best we can and for as long as we can. Although it has been a bit tough with the bad news that seems to be happening monthly right now it is motivating me to look after myself - I want to be fit, healthy and around for a long time. Sometimes things are tough and you won't always be feeling 100% but I belive you need to take what you can from those situations, whether you grow or learn from them or use them in whatever way you can, with each experience good or bad there is some positive that can be taken from it.

I hope everyone is well, staying strong, staying gamble free and enjoying the run in to Christmas - less than 2 weeks to go!!

@haystack0915 of course great to have you with us. We'll done on the 24 days, all being well your at a month now! That's awesome, congrats.

I can't wait to come on here with some good news but this past week has been me, my wife and my daughter all ill and all on antibiotics. But I just hope that all 3 of us are feeling better for Christmas.

Hope everyone here is ready for Christmas, theres a lot of different pressures and stresses regardless of each and everyone's personal circumstances and I hope everyone is staying strong staying committed and staying gamble free. Ultimately we know gambling is never the answer and will never make us feel good.

So stay strong everyone, have a great Christmas whatever your doing.

Let's end out the year proud of the decisions we have now made and excited for what 2023 will bring.

Take care all.

Hi @haystack0915 great position to be in, great way to start a new year. When you get to a month it feels so good and it only gets better, getting 50 days up and then 2 months and beyond, it stacks up and just stay focused, keep your guards up and pat yourself on the back to because it's a great achievement and it's not easy.

@lakelands 4 months is quality, well in to over 100 days, you should be so proud. Just stay strong, keep doing what your doing and as I say be proud, your decisions now are literally changing your life!

Have a great Christmas all xx

Morning everyone, I hope you’re all doing well. Today marks 95 days for me. The days are clocking up and those difficult days are becoming less and less, but I remain focused that it’s a long road ahead and one day at a time.

wishing you all the best Xmas, keep focused and together we have this.

Hi @tazman well done on the 2 years GF and really well done on resisting and stopping before serious damage was done. Yes £750 has gone but does it make any sense to risk 3K to win £750? Keep the 3K, be proud of your GF time and the savings that you still have. That's some amazing progress. 26 days almost straight away back to a month GF, that's great and you know you've done 2 years before so you can do it again and you'll save some more money, you'll have that £750 back plus a whole lot more in time.
