Hi @lids19635 thanks for the post I'm glad it has helped.

Firstly a sorry to @haystack0915 I missed your name off the last update, sorry about that, your back in now - just copied and pasted the wrong list, sorry! Hope your well.

Well done to all that are gamble free for the entire challenge. 70 DAYS!! 10 WEEKS!!! THAT IS SO IMPRESSIVE - WELL DONE TO ALL!!!!

Cant believe we are 70 days in. We are certainly on the home stretch now. Be proud wherever you are on your gamble free journey. This is just part of a great journey where at the end you feel happy and proud of the decisions made. I'm thankfully far down the journey and I'm going to say something I never thought I'd say but I'm at a point now where I'm grateful for the addiction and the tough times because I really feel they've made me who I am today and today I am someone who values my life way more than before and I look after myself why more than I ever have and I don't think that would be the case without the things I've been through. Now of course they'll always be a few regrets and ultimately it would be nice to go back and do it again but I can't, so I make the best of it and I think the positive changes to my life have now pushed the balance the other way and that wouldn't have happened if you remove the gambling. So when I say I'm thankful for it maybe that's a little strong but I have no ill feeling, I've truly changed in many ways and that feels great.

I say this as I hope it can motivate as I know when I was at around 70 days I was so proud, 10 weeks is phenomenal but also I had down days at this stage as I would think I've done so well but I'm still in x debt or still struggling with Mrs, or struggling with whatever else and it is a long road but I urge you to do something that you wouldn't have done while gambling be it a hobby or commit to a day/night out with friends/family/partner, buy a cinema card and go regularly or could be something for your metal or physical health - go for walks, start exercising, join gym/yoga class, start a meditation practice. So many things can be done, a lot for free or a small outlay. These things (in my opinion) will help keep you going, they're reminders that your making the right decisions and are reminders that through stopping gambling things get better, life improves and you'll get more enjoyment from these new things than gambling ever gave.

I hope that all helps in some way. Take care all, stay strong, stay gamble free.

Hi all,

3 months has been and gone, time goes so fast at times. I hope everyone is doing well, staying strong. I hope your all gamble free but those that have had a slip or a relapse, I hope you find the strength to get back on this recovery path, we'll all get to where we want to be. Be proud for just admitting that you need to stop. It's not easy we all know that but it's the right decision and your future will be so much better without gambling in it.

I wish you all the best, I don't plan on running another challenge in the near future but will do more as the year goes on I'm sure. But if anyone would like me to run any sort of challenge thread then let me know I'd be more than happy to do so.

Take care all.
