The problem finally defeated me, I never thought I was going to gamble again but yet again another TV ad offering a tempting bonus and a phone with no blocking software and its over so quick. 1 hour session wiping out my monthly salary of my account and destroying my marriage to the women I love.
Ive been warned not to gamble again, but I couldn't resist, its like a Jekyl and Hyde scenario and when im gambling im not me. All levels of self control go out the window. I made £10 turn in to £7k but yet I never cash it out. Chasing something bigger and better that we all know your never gonna get.
For me I end up on the brink of divorce, no money for rent or food and a feeling of worthlessness.
Why can't there be an agreement with casinos that when you self exclude from one then your details are self excluded with everyone. So much for responsible gaming, these casino rinse my money when im desperate and low...Then I have nothing. I see adverts for casinos everywhere, yet you don't see crack and other drugs being advertised on tv. More should be done to protect the vulnerable and silly people like me.
Now I have to live off favours from family and friends just to get by.
Hello ashw4288
Sorry to hear you've had a lapse. Understandably you're feeling down. You mentioned that you had a phone with no blocking software - I'm sure you don't need us to tell you that it's important to keep your barriers up. You can get more info on blocking software here.
We understand that it's frustrating having to self-exclude from online gambling sites one by one. The good news is that the industry is working on a more joined-up solution to help you self-exclude from all British-based online gambling sites. They hope to launch at the end of this year. You can view their holding website at https://www.gamstop.co.uk/.
For land-based casinos there is the SENSE scheme which self-excludes you from all British casinos.
