Are there any bank accounts that have debit cards that block gambling sites?

Hi there,

I am just figuring out ways to make it harder for me to gamble and I believe that online gambling is my biggest enemy. So if I could purchase a debit card that blocks this then I would be in a great position.

Any banks that ban gambling transactions?

I don't think they're any that specifically block gambling sites it's to difficult to police. The best idea I know is to report the card lost/stolen and when the new card arrives get someone you trust to scratch of the last 3 number on the back without them you can't deposit if you need any other purchases you'd have to get the trusted person to do the final payment.

Yeah I thought so. Debit cards are not all that important, should stick to a simple atm card with a 250 limit.

Hi PG

not a debit card but I believe Barclaycard will block 'cash like' transactions of which most gambling transactions would be flagged so although it would be a credit card, if you could get one of those and then take the other steps/ new card scratch off number etc and only carry your barclaycard with you it would stop you online and making cash withdrawals so if you don't find anything else might be worth checking out
