Hi everyone,

I have been on here for 1 year now and i still cant leave gambling alone.

I gamble my wages all of the time week in week out and i just changed jobs so now i get paid monthly which will end up being bad if I continue to gamble.

I have been gambling since the age of 16, im now 23. i have around £4,000 of debts that family and friends dont know about and ill never tell them.

I gamble recklessly I closed my account today i as I lost what i currently have or had (£850) I get paid in 2 days roughly £300 and that will have to last 1 month until my next full wage.

I fell so sick because of what ive gottem myself into and the way i think. One day i can be fine and days like today i go into zombie mode and blow all my money chasing that trill of winning.

I keep going and going until i have nothing left and gambling is on my mind from the moment i wake up to the moment i go to sleep.

Sometimes i cant sleep.

I tried 1 to 1 counselling but i went back to gambling after 3 weeks so i never tried hard enough (March 2015)

I now need to stop for good, for my general welbeing and for my future.

thanks for reading and have a great day!

Chris

Chris

It hurts to read how someone so young has been trapped by the sharks, but if you don't stop now you're debts will only escalate . Walk away and don't worry about your debts you will soon be sleeping like normal and find a way to sort your debts. We cannot win because we cannot stop and that's why you never see a poor bookmaker. One day at a time, stay strong and don't let the b******s grind you down.

Chris,

Well done for trying counselling, did you complete the recommended 10-12 sessions?

Also now my friend is time to tell someone close about your addiction. You are a young man, you've posted here you have a problem (well done again) bows the time to get more help. Honestly try GA meetings especially if you think the counselling didn't work.

All the best, keep posting to update. Good night.
