About 18 month ago I up graded my phone to one of these smart phones, or whatever they are called.

After about a month I had to get rid of it and go for a basic phone that I could not get internet access on. Why? because before I knew it I had done about 2,000 on gaming sites, somthing that I cant do on my comp due to the blocking software that works a treat. So I am due for another upgrade soon and would like a new phone. Can anyone tell me if there is a good blocking software that you can use for mobile phones, as I know I could get tempted to have just one go! And you all know where that would lead 🙁

I have gone 50 weeks now without a bet and saved myself a fortune mainly down to not be able to use the comp when I get bored or have had a few beers. Sounds well sad that I cant trust myself with a new phone don't it? Just don't want to mess up nearly a year of being gamble free.

Sorry it went on a bit, but any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Colin

Hello Colin D,

Some forum members have mentioned that Gamblock offer a blocker for android smartphones.

http://www.gamblock.com/index.html

Other forum members have said they've used parental control software on their smartphones, or they've adopted your previous approach of using a phone that doesn't provide internet access, as a way to avoid access to online gambling on their mobile.

Well done on your 50 weeks. It is great that you're still keen to take preventative steps to protect yourself from lapsing.

Cheers,

Adam.
