Hello everyone! I’m very new here. I have always love putting a bet on the football or the boxing removed link It was never a problem then I discovered slots. This has taken over my mind and finances. luckily not to the point I’ve missed payments for anything but all other money is going into slots. Just that feeling of getting a win. The high is amazing. Then losing and the low is crushing. I’m still young and really want a healthy balance for my future and I know this is going to get me nowhere. I’ve lied to my parents, borrowed to gamble and called sick to work to be able to go play.

tonight was the last time I play a slot. It is not worth it at all. You may win but never going to beat the casino long run. It’s going to be hard but I am determined to defeat this addiciton.

@nfbray1g4e well done on your post mate.

Slots are like crack-coke for some of us with gambling issues.  They are all consuming and you will find you are taken to a different zone when you start to spin the slots

For me, everything else would melt into the background, any stress would disappear.  Then I had to deal with the fall out...  All money spent and lost, anxiety, lack of sleep ect.

You decided last night that you would stop.  Well done, but was this a momentary reaction to a nights losses?  Or a plan for the future.

You may need to put blocks in place and ask for help from those around you.  For many of us who get to this point we need the help.  Gambling is a real mental health issue that needs treating.

All the best.  Please keep us updated.  Remember you need to invest in your being GF the best is yet to come.

Hi Lewis,

Similar boat to yourself mate! Slots had completely absorbed my life, to the point I was oblivious to my surroundings & what truly matters in life.

as the bean has mentioned above, best putting the blocks in place. I made the mistake of trying to quit solo numerous of times to fail repeatedly.

after coming to this forum & taking advice on board from the folks on here I’ve no access to any gambling sites. They are blocked in every possible way. It’s one thing saying it’s your last time & another blocking yourself & making it your last time.

I’m just 5 and a bit days into my gamble free journey but as I’ve said the blocks & chatting to a few guys on here has got me to a point I’d have done anything for in the past.

Take all the advice on board, get the blocks in place & definitely speak to someone you trust.

I wish you all the best mate, you can do it!
