Its worse than any hangover or any other irritation that can be inflicted on you

It wastes your time , energy and money the 3 most important things in your life

People will spend entire days on these online gambling platforms either going around in circles or simply just losing never learning

If you don't believe me go and read the chat logs it's just constantly people in anguish or talking utter gibberish

Watching any sport becomes a chore an obsession i see "tipsters" on twitter their entire lives revolves around checking scores

I was one of these people i believed i had gambling under "control" for many years and if you saw my bank balance you may very well be inclined to agree with me

But the cost is far beyond a financial one

It takes control of your entire life and mindset , your concentration

and whats worse you get NOTHING in return

The only positive thing i can take from over 10 years of gambling is an ability to evaluate and tolerate risk that is it

I am tired of it all , the entire gambling lifestyle is just a black hole into nothingness.

Completely agree. I am almost 1 month gamble free and it is liberating. The only feeling left is  despair and regret, £49k debt and nothing to show for it. Only good things I’d debt has been slowly getting paid for a year now so down to £44k… another 8 years to go. £400 pound a month is over £4800 a year, could have been a nice holiday for the family. That’s what they took from me and left me very empty inside

@roulettegotme 50K is a big lesson indeed

Guessing by the username roulette was your vice , i used to play roulette many years ago and i know full well it is one of the fastest ways to empty your balance

It's also very difficult to win consistently and plays a lot of games with the mind

I used to play physical tables , i don't trust online at all it seems to me like algorithms are analysing your play , your deposit habits and your chat logs

It's just a terrible world to be involved in

Definitely true. It's not just about the money but the relationships lost, the time as energy as you said and also the after effects are absolutely awful. It just creates more problems that aren't just financial. It's so stressful and it becomes a thing that takes over your whole life.

Hi

Just for today I will not gamble.

I do understand that if I was to gamble I just simply make things much worse for my self and others.

For me gambling is very unhealthy.

Once I started it seemed that I could not stop.

I questioned why people clapped when I was honest about my last bet.

It was a compliment.

I went back to gambling so often I use to be filled with so much dispair.

When I went back to gambling was a chance to understand learn what was my last emotional trigger.

No matter when your last bet was please keep going back to meetings.
