Hi all, this is my first time on here.
I never thought that I'd be saying this, but I am a problem gambler.
I'm 20, I spent about £600ish on gambling over 4 days when my student finance came in. I registered with GamStop, but it didn't help, as the site I went on allowed me to register for some reason. I've never felt so numb and suicidal in my life. I told my family and my mum said I should kill myself 🙁 I don't know what to do anymore, maybe it is better that I did, because I know it was my fault, I shouldn't have been on the site, but it's like I can't control myself.
I need help
Hi Rexi, you are in the right place. There is a phone number on here you can call for some more immediate advice, or the live chat, which I've used and it’s been brilliant. But don't despair - you made a mistake and with stops in place, self exclusion and talking to friends you can get help. Just take it slowly. I'm sure others will be along with advice too.

Hi Rexi, how are you now?
You still have so much to live for. Please don't think otherwise. Gambling quite often masks other problems in our lives. We gamble to distract ourselves from other things. Please speak to someone, whether it's a family member, a friend, or even a health professional such as your local GP. There is help out there.
You might also find that posting regulary on here helps. Create a diary and list down your thoughts. They don't even need to be gambling related. Just whatever is on your mind.
Best of luck and stay strong.
