Hey, firstly I'd say sit down and take a deep deep breath, add up all your debts (if there is more than the overdraft) and one by one you will need to contact the companies to ask what repayment options you have, then I would calculate how much you have on a weekly/monthly basis and list all you required bills, then with what you have left work out what you can pay each week/month. I personally find taking care of the little ones and clearing them first helps as then you have less companies to deal with, but thats personal preference, then you need to make arrangements and offer regular payments to the companies, which they will eventually accept, and then just keep popping back and posting here, hopefully th gambling will stop along the way, ust remember you will never win a debt free life, you'll only win more debt! So hard work and we'll all get where we want to be soon!

Hope this helps mate

Hi unknownguy

What you do is take deep breaths like you have walked out of a gamblers prison and breathe in that fresh air.

With help here, from your family and counselling you face up to life and realise that it can all be sorted out. You can only pay what you can afford and sorting yourself out is infinitely better than a life gambling.

The fog will lift when you get help and financial advice. The bottom line is that any creditor will have to wait while you look at how much you have to live on and what you can offer. There is no point making yourself ill with worry. The citizens advice bureau are great to talk to

The important thing is that you are gambling no more and have taken steps to block it .

Taking to people and getting all the help on offer will help you recover and lead a life FREE from gambling

All the very best

Hi,

You may want to give Stepchange debt charity a call.

They take a monthly (affordable) payment from you and distribute it amongst those you owe money too. Plus they dont charge a monthly fee.

Also they can freeze any interest payments. Letters and phone calls.

I am with them.

Best wishes
