Just left work at 1am and waxed all of my wages which got paid at midnight, I've tried countless times, is it impossible to stop gambling? I feel pathetic and s**t, I was up £200 but still blown it all, I can't afford to pay my bills.

It is very possible to stop gambling but the decision to stop comes from you.
Pay day is a danger time for many of us so you need to put some barriers in place so that it doesnt happen again.
Limit your access to money if it can be done. No available money = no gambling.
We can all write about this, that, the next thing about how easy it is, how we are the victims, how bad the industry is etc etc etc.
You can do it. Think of attending GA, counselling through Gamcare. Whatever it takes to stop and stay stopped.

As Balvaird says its possible, but compulsive gambling can be very aggressive in some. Some need more help than just abstaining can offer. So why not look at counselling or GA or other types of help?

can relate to all that can be so aggressive and dangerous at times , i hate being an addict , always roulette that seems to escalte into the abyss , if you can,t walk away you know you got a real problem and lets face it up or down most of of us can,t walk , such a long month when you done all your money no sympathy from anyone apart from on here
this site priceless if you want to stop not just want to stop loosing money and when you win think ur ok and cured , thats where i am i know im a CG but still in denial
its not easy to stop. Only hard work and help will do it .Try GA and the help you get on here m8, DONT go out with access to cash ,thats the main issue i think at the beginning ,dont even have the temptation to go back on the machines because you dont have the cash there. You are a CG(like me) and will be one for life ,i wish you well m8 !
