Hasta la vista brings up a good point and one that could be why mixers not about recently. You both have reached the end of the challenge and for mixer and u godo this could be a bad thing as you may feel that you e completed you're time here and can go on to new things. This could be a great thing and u go on to living a successful gamble free life however I would suggest remaining on the site with ur diary's as we don't know whether after a couple of weeks away you could be tempted with a little bet, after all you're a guru now and have been successful in being gamble free. I would love to hear thoughts. I think I will probably stall on the thread after three hundred day or maybe just my diary. Any thoughts on this remain on guru thread after being a guru.

Wishing all the Guru Challengers an excellent gamble free weekend.

The world has a great deal to offer for each and every one of us. No point dwelling on past mistakes or entering a fantasy world of "what ifs." Now is the time to explore what is available to us, embrace new ideas and stop behaving like fools.

Congratulations Sars on your continued good progress. Over 500 days since you last had a bet and you are now in a good place, at peace with yourself and enjoying life. Wishing you every happiness as you continue on your gamble free adventure...stephen

Cheers Adam

I’ve set myself a new target of 400 days that way I get Christmas and Jan paydays out the way ( normally bit of bonus and lots of overtime ) then will make 600 the target if I make 400

GURU CHALLENGERS also spells GULL HUNGER SCARE.....Not many people know that!

Life is a gamble for all living things. It is part of the challenge of living on planet earth. People have always gambled on the best places to live, where to find food and to keep themselves safe. It is an inherent part of a great adventure and requires skill, knowledge and cunning. This gambling on life is not to be confused with giving money away to betting shops.

What I did was not really gambling because the odds dictated that over a period I had no chance of winning. I stupidly put all my money in machines in betting shops simply because it released chemicals into my brain which I liked the feel of. I kidded myself that I went on the machines to win money but that was just me trying to justify my naivety.

Well I certainly won't be giving any more money to the machines. ...stephen

The Guru Challenge is here for anyone who has a desire to be gamble free. That includes me and I am now 28 days away from my last bet.

To achieve the status of Guru one has simply to go 300 days without gambling. Historically the symbol 'gu' means darkness and the symbol 'ru' means the light that dispels the darkness. We can take back control of our lives and become the masters and mistresses of our own destiny.

I believe that staying gamble free for 300 days and replacing gambling with more worthwhile pursuits, hobbies and interests can give one a more positive outlook on life and increase confidence, self respect and understanding.

Shoulder to shoulder with friends and fellow travellers we can embrace the adventure that lies ahead and strive to break from from the insidious influence of gambling addiction.

Glance behind if necessary but dwelling on past mistakes is not helpful. Best we keep going forward just one day or one step at a time even when the going gets tough.

I don't know what will be blowing in tomorrows wind but it certainly won't be my betting slips.

No more the fool - Let's all be cool...stephen
