Day 23.
Mixer it's only money we have blown that and some more gambling you can take this hit and don't think you can make it up gambling come on mixer we're making it now
Checking in day 18. Like the post about Christmas. I've already begun Christmas shopping and almost three weeks gamble free is really helping facilitate early present buying. My pay day is 15th & still got 'spare' cash to last until next pay day. Feel so much better about money and life as I feel in control again. Sorry to hear about the pay cut Mixer. That must be particularly tough if your income drops unexpectedly and you've debts. I know I couldn't afford to take a drop in income as I account for every penny, doing detailed monthly budgets. Think I'm going to join the Christmas challenge now.
Didn't properly read the thread last night. Sorry to hear that news Mixer man, life really can be dreadful at times. But you do have to stay positive - at least you're GF - imagine how worse off you'd be if you were still gambling.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I remain gambling free, and, there is a small flip-side, that is, I'll make £4k back with a promotion that I am pretty nailed-on to get (but without the lovely allowances I previously earned up to now, and till Christmas). So, not all bad news.
Still, as you can imagine, it concentrates the mind and I will be even more resolutely gambling free. I promised to be honest about my journey, good and bad, and I am, and will continue to be.
So let's all keep going. Life chucks some c**P from time to time - hmmm, maybe my missus can work a few hours 🙂 - but it's always a lot worse when we gamble.
I am hitting the booze a bit, that's probably understandable, but at least I've very limited funds in my pocket. The blocks are still very much in place. Thank goodness... but that's all part of the strategy.

Sorry to hear about the pay cut Mixer but hey the best things in life are free and at least you're not chucking it down the drain like you would be gambling 🙂
