Had a tough week ,work study etc,got overwhelmed anxious. Then what happened? Saw an arcade ,thought just £20 so can escape my mind for a bit then! felt terrible, also got in trouble at work because was 1 hour late back from lunch 2 days in a row because chasing loses. Luckily visiting family over next few days so i can hopefully snap out of it, tried to self exclude they make it really tough for you to do so

Hi rob

Do they make it tough or do you make it tough yourself? From experience slot houses are usually the best when it comes to exclusions. If there somehow palming you off as you mentioned before why not take the form out with you and fill it in at home and return after the cooling off period and self exclude ? Or even post it maybe to the actual place make sure it's signed for aswell , you need to get those exclusions water tight especially around where you work .

If you turn to gambling every rough patch you have your mind will trick you into believing you have a terrible life so you can get your fix that's how addictions work preying on your insecurities,

No criticism from me just pointing out what you need to work on

All the best

Hi Rob

It sounds like arcades near your work are a particular problem so I hope you manage to get the self exclusion finalised. Remember you can always call the helpline 0808 8020 133 if life stresses are getting to you, and we can offer free counselling too to help you recognise and deal with triggers better.
