Kick in the door - Biggie Smalls... if I was a boxer this would be my walk out music. You all up for the fight? Weekend coming up so stay focused. What's your walk out music?

Hi change have enjoyed reading your diary and honest struggle. After a reasonable loss this morning I came back on here to get my fat a*s into gear and do something. I like your approach of counting down the days and is worth a try. Like many people on here it's the roulette etc with me and as I'm off work at the moment I've found myself online again. Not good! But I have two numbers to reduce,1: days in the year 2:my debt! I start today! Congrats to everyone so far keep it up!

Made a big effort to try and eat much more healthy food and it's making me become more focused on bettering myself. I'm taking more of a holistic approach to recovery and trying to correct a few things that I wasn't doing right or neglecting in life. I think it's slowly working and I'm making some progress. Need to keep going.

I guess anything is worth a shot although I do agree that eating better makes you feel better. I've no idea why I keep failing to kick it but this time I feel different. I've got lots going on in my personal life and I need to stop. My history does not define my future!

You sound determined to make a change... you need to keep these thoughts in your mind and use them to push you through the difficult patches. You've done great to make it here but this is just the start. Keep reading and posting and you'll get to where you want to be.

Update: currently off work for a bit and watching tv olympics etc but watching a bit of horse racing temptation is there but I won't give in! I don't mind the horses and loved a Wee flutter especially when you back a winner but all gambling is off limits. My problem is fobts mainly roulette and over the years I've tried to say I was ok on all other sports betting as long as I stay clear of roulette, but we all know that ain't true. It's like an alcoholic saying I'm ok if I stick to vodka!?!? I'm excited to see total rise of the number of days off gambling 🙂 hope everyone is doing ok today. For today I know I won't gamble

Yeah be careful of the temptation. As you say, there is no safe bet as one bet can lead to another. I was solely a sports gambling. I shut down access to literally every account. I spent hours trying to find one that would accept uk players but couldn't... so what did I do? I went on a massive blackjack binge. We are addicted to gambling and we'll take whatever form we can get. Stay focused and keep going.
